About Me

"I am not a speed reader. I am a speed understander."

-Isaac Asimov

I was born, I lived, I have yet to die. I came into this world bright and early in the morning of January first 2001. Once I had reached this unbright cinder we call earth from the womb I became a member of the Anderson family. We live in a house built by my father on my father's farm: Deer Lake Gardens in Beautiful St. Croix Falls. Our family consists of my Mother, (who is always and forever right about everything) the greatest source of support in my life, My Father, a regular Jack of all Trades and the only man who seems to be able to do anything, and my two brothers, ten and seven years older than I, mother's basement kid Alex and Everyone's favorite black sheep Ethan. From a very early age I have absolutely adored the color blue, as it is associated with the daytime sky. Both represent freedom, abstract thought, and enlightenment. These days, I help Dad out around the farm and attend school regularly, but my true passions in life are stories and science. I am a voracious reader and a true enlightenment man. If you are ever curious and would like to go down the rabbit hole that is my reading life, I am currently memorizing the poem Childe Roland to the Dark Tower he Came. My favorite books, The Name of the Wind, The Power of Myth, and The Hitchhiker"s Guide to the Galaxy are also of note.

Philosophy on Life

"We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us"

-Joseph Campbell

I view life as one unending search for truth and meaning. The light at the end of the tunnel on that search is, for all I can tell, Light years away. My mother says I'm full of myself, her exact wording being "conceited". To some extent this is true, I think very highly of myself, though I do not look down on others or consider them inferior. My dream is to become a chemist, to where a white coat over my famous blue shirt. I consider myself a modern day mage, mastering the secrets of the universe, although today I'm more of a modern day neophyte, aspiring to great knowledge I can only begin to grasp. However, I don't make plans for the future, instead favoring to go wherever the wind takes me. Life happens in the surprises; in those little rapturous moments nobody could ever have accounted for. Insight is more often a Eureka than a slow burn. As to dreams, there will be water if God wills it.
