Hi, my name is Gwyn Schaffer and welcome to my page! This website is for my Junior Seminar class where we learn all sorts of skills which include things with technology (like this website). This will show what I’m doing in this class every semester. To see everything I do in this class go ahead and click the links above! Now here's a little bit about myself: On February 22, 2003, I was born in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. I then moved to a small town in the middle of South Dakota called Bowdle. For about 7 years of my life, my family lived there until we moved back to St. Croix Falls. My family which includes me, my mom, dad and little sister Gretchen, moved to a small hobby farm outside of the town. Our farm consists of 3 horses, 2 goats, 3 dogs, 4 cats, chickens, and one snake.

For fun, I like to snowboard and work. Snowboarding has been a big part of my life ever since I moved back to Wisconsin. My mom who also snowboards was the one who influenced me to go after snowboarding. Most of my friends are snowboarders and the slopes are my safe place. I also work at the ski lodge that I go snowboarding at, Trollhaugen. I work as a waitress in the chalet and I also work at the Taylors Falls Canoe and Kayak Rental during the summer. I’ve been working ever since I turned 14 and it’s helped me out immensely.

For my future, I don’t have a plan really. I do know that whatever I decide I want to do it needs to include helping people. Currently, I am looking at gerontology as a career field but I’m still not sure. I’ve always been interested in helping the elderly ever since I was young. I would go to the nursing homes in my old town and play bingo with the residents.
